Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a noninvasive aesthetic treatment to reduce the appearance of lines, wrinkles and acne scars and improve the skin’s texture and tone.

During this treatment a micropen is used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. The skin starts the repair process resulting in a softer appearance.

What to Expect

The microchannels allow for topical serums to be absorbed more effectively, enhancing the effects in the deep layers of the skin. Following the treatment, you will experience some redness to the skin for 24-48 hours.

Patients notice an immediate glow to their skin. Visible changes develop over the course of several weeks. Results may continue to improve up to six months post treatment. In order to achieve optimal results three to six treatments are recommended.

Add Platelet Rich Plasma

PRP may be combined with this treatment. When applied to the skin while microneedling, it immediately absorbs into the skin promoting the growth factors for increased healing. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentration of the patient’s own platelets. Patients will get a blood draw prior to their treatment, and then their blood is put into a centrifuge to separate the platelets. This releases growth factors to stimulate and increase the actual process of reparative cells.

Combine PRP with Microneedling to enhance the effectiveness and achieve optimal results!
